Your financial model never leaves your device
When you drop a spreadsheet into Wedlow, it is read and annotated entirely inside your web browser. The file is never uploaded to our servers, never transmitted over the internet, and never stored anywhere by us. All processing happens in your device's memory.
Because the file never reaches us, there is nothing for us to delete: when you close or refresh the page, the file and everything derived from it are gone from memory. The annotated copy you download exists only on your device.
What we do collect
We store two things, and neither contains your financial data:
- Your email address — if you enter it to download your annotated model, we save it so we can send you a copy and follow up. That's the only personal information we ask for.
- Anonymous usage counts — simple tallies such as how many uploads started or finished, why a file was rejected (for example "wrong format"), and how many lines were marked. These counts never include file names, sheet names, cell contents, or any figures from your model.
What we never collect
- The contents of your spreadsheet — numbers, formulas, labels, or sheet names
- The file itself, or any copy of it
- Your name, company, or any account details (there are no accounts or passwords)
How we use your email
We use it to send your annotated model and to follow up about what Wedlow found. We don't sell it, share it with third parties, or add you to a newsletter. If you'd like your email removed from our records at any time, just ask.
Data retention and deletion
Your spreadsheet is never retained — it exists only in your browser's memory while the page is open. Email addresses and anonymous usage counts are kept in our secure backend until you ask us to remove your email, which we'll do promptly.
